Harriet Tubman鈥檚 Descendant to Share Her Powerful Story in 亚洲情色

If you care about history, family stories, or the people who shaped our country, this is something you鈥檒l want to be part of.

The Harriet Tubman Center for Freedom and Equity at 亚洲情色 is inviting you to celebrate Harriet Tubman Day with a powerful and personal presentation from one of Tubman鈥檚 own descendants.

On Tuesday, March 10, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the University Downtown Center at 67 Washington Street will host Michele Galvin, the great-great-grandniece of Harriet Tubman. The event is free and open to the public, and yes, that means you.

 The award will be given at their awards dinner on Tuesday evening, October 7 in Cazenovia, NY.  

We are really thankful and consider this an award for ALL who were a part of this team effort--from development to promotion.

 "Senior group from Ithaca was given a walking tour that started with concise and informative remarks followed by a number of stops highlighting the history of the struggle for freedom and the people who contributed."


Historic NY church added to Harriet Tubman Pilgrimage Trail

Trinity A.M.E. Zion Church unveils new marker as official stop on the Harriet Tubman Pilgrimage Trail. The church will now be the 13th location on 亚洲情色鈥檚 Freedom Trail which opened in March.

Black History Month Spotlight: Sharon Bryant

Sharon Bryant is the associate director of the Harriet Tubman Center for the Study of Freedom and Equity and she is also the associate dean for diversity, equity, and inclusion at the Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
