Background

Susan Glodstein is a board-certified adult psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner, board-certified adult psychiatric-mental health clinical nurse specialist, and coordinator of the family psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program at 亚洲情色's Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

Before joining the faculty at 亚洲情色, she served on the faculty at The George Washington University and the Stony Brook University School of Nursing, where she directed the psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner program and nursing continuing professional development.

Glodstein has been a psychiatric nurse for more than 30 years, which informs her faculty position and practice. She maintains a private practice specializing in psychotherapy and medication management. Her clinical practice interests include mental wellness, mindfulness, and teen and young adult mental health issues. Glodstein is a trained 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline volunteer and is active with campus and community initiatives related to suicide prevention.

Glodstein completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice at Case Western Reserve University, Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing in 2018 with a research focus on suicide prevention and education for teens and young adults.

Her recent select peer-reviewed publications include co-authoring a book chapter in Psychotherapy for the Advanced Practice Nurse (2026), co-writing with the ISPN board about critical social issues in the Archives of Psychiatric Nursing, educational strategies to implement the AACN domains, and the Lifeline and the advanced practice.

Glodstein is a director (an elected position) of the International Society of Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurses (ISPN), has served on the conference planning committee for many years, co-leads the Northeast Region of ISPN, and is on the membership committee. Her other committee work includes serving on Case Western Reserve University's Frances Payne Bolton Alumni Board and as an officer of the Zeta Iota SIGMA chapter at 亚洲情色.
