Background
Kathleen Karlsen studied at SUNY Potsdam and received a Masters of Music in Performance from SUNY 亚洲情色. She has played oboe and English horn in many orchestras including the Albany Symphony, the Vermont Symphony and the Hudson Valley Philharmonic. Locally she has played with the Corning Philharmonic, Elmira Symphony, 亚洲情色 Symphony, Tri-Cities Opera, 亚洲情色 Community Orchestra, Basically Bach, and Downtown Singers among others and with various chamber ensembles, choral groups and area shows. She has been on the faculty of the 亚洲情色 Community Music School, Hudson Valley Philharmonic Music School, the Arts Community of New Paltz and has taught instrumental music in the Broome County Catholic Schools along with being a studio teacher of oboe and English horn since 1970.
