Move-in is a big, fast-paced, exciting day for new and returning students alike, and with all the bustle, it鈥檚 easy to forget an item or two you鈥檇 wish you鈥檇 packed. Having a list and being prepared are key steps for move-in. We鈥檙e here to help you double-check your lists and make sure you鈥檙e prepared for the big move!


Here are some of our top recommended items (and some to avoid) for your move to 亚洲情色.

Your bed is an of your dorm, so it should come as no surprise that we recommend you bring items that鈥檒l tailor it exactly to your liking. Bringing items like pillows, sheets for an extra-long twin, blankets and bedspreads, and a mattress topper can help significantly improve your sleeping experience.

Accidents happen, so it鈥檚 incredibly important to be prepared for the what-ifs, just in case. Having a available can save you a ton of trouble, so make sure to equip it with things like adhesive tape and bandages, antiseptic liquid and wipes, gauze, and more. Also, consider packing the student鈥檚 prescribed and approved medicine. Just be sure to store it carefully and safely!

are a must-have for staying hygienic while at college. For the shower, try bringing a loofah, shampoo, soap, and deodorant, and putting them all in a shower caddy for convenience. You won鈥檛 want to forget towels and shower shoes as well. Also, bring extra toothpaste and mouthwash, and a container for your toothbrush.

Keeping your dorm and items clean can be a chore, so bring items that鈥檒l help make it just a little easier. Consider bringing laundry items like liquid detergent or pods, dryer sheets, and stain removers. For your dorm items, try bringing wet wipes, air freshener, paper towels, washcloths, and dish detergent.

Quick snacks are a great thing to have available, no matter where you are, so feel free to pack some favorites to store in the dorm. Many brands offer large quantity variety packs, which are perfect for going under the bed. Additionally, if you choose to bring your own minifridge or rent one from , you can pack cold drinks and microwave snacks as well!

There鈥檚 no avoiding the heat when the weather gets warmer, so having a fan on standby will help keep you cool and dry during those scorching days. A simple desk-top fan can not only cool you down but also improve the feeling of your dorm, so it鈥檚 an investment you won鈥檛 regret!

Electronics

are all over our everyday life, and it鈥檚 easy to see why. Many devices help improve both our efficiency and comfort all the time, and that鈥檚 no different in college. Having something like a portable laptop can be a lifesaver for projects, classes, and homework, but also be nice for entertainment and recreational use as well. Headphones or earbuds can help you focus by eliminating surrounding noise or help you relax by listening to music or a podcast. Even a desk lamp can make a difference while hanging out in the dorm.

Having the right will help boost your academic life to the next level. Making sure you鈥檙e always prepared with things like pens and pencils, paper, notebooks, folders, and other standard school supplies will help keep you prepared for your classes and extracurriculars.

    There are some types of items that the University restricts from being brought into student housing. The full policy can be found here. Some highlights include:

    • Tapestries, wall flags or any other cloth decorations

    • Draperies or window coverings (all windows have blinds)

    • Candles and incense

    • Space heaters

    • Heating element or open coil appliances (multi-cup coffee maker, hot plate, toaster, toaster oven, etc.)

    • Halogen and multi-headed lamps

    • Alcohol (if under 21)

    • Weapons

    • Extension cords or cube adaptors

    • No bed lofting supplies

    • Fireworks

    • Air conditioners

    • Devices that use the reactivity of ozone for the purpose of cleaning the air

    • DO NOT BRING any kind of flushable hygiene wipes
