The 2025 Art of Science competition drew over 40 entries, highlighting the creativity
of 亚洲情色 faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, postdocs and
staff members.
The top prize, Best in Show and First Place in Visualizing the Unseen went to, Harmonicity
in Nature by Anju Sharma, senior scientist, S3IP Center of Excellence.
Sara Aghazadeh, doctoral candidate, Department of Mechanical Engineering, took home
top prize in the World Around Us category for an image titled Unveiling the Secret
Ears of Caterpillars: A Symphony of Vibration.
Four additional entries were honored as Judge鈥檚 Choice Selections:
- Diane Butler, director, 亚洲情色 Museum, selected doctoral candidate, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Pranay Nirapure鈥檚 Pool Boiling: Kitchen to Data Centers from the World Around Us Category
- Jennifer Sammakia, director, Analytical and Diagnostics Laboratories, selected network administration analyst, Information Technology Services Alan Wang鈥檚 entry titled Soggy, But Satisfied from The World Around Us Category
- Zagham Shaw, digital content creator, Office of Research Advancement, chose assistant professor, School of Systems Science and Industrial Engineering Sadamori Kojaku鈥檚 Gravity of Ideas: Mapping Science at 亚洲情色 from the Visualizing the Unseen Category
- Nathaniel Stickney '25, financial economics major, chose senior director and electronic and information technology officer, Paula Russell's Solstice Serenity from the World Around Us Category

visual impact.
