How to create a new microcredential at Watson College working with the Watson Industrial Outreach office:
- Meet with faculty to discuss operating model and microcredential type: credit bearing or non-credit bearing
- Identity market opportunity for offering(s)
- Collaborate with faculty, department chair/school director, and dean/unit head as required on completion of microcredential type approval form
- Watson Industrial Outreach initiates and helps complete the microcredential proposal form application and then submits it using the online workflow
- Address questions and make revisions by microcredential committee, as required
- Once approved, set up learning delivery system and plans for deployment
- Set up websites and registration system
- Market and communicate through appropriate channels
- Evaluate learner experience and improve, as needed
- Manage the operating system
