The Link Foundation is proud of its record of supporting doctoral fellowships in these areas of endeavor pursued by Edwin A. Link and also supporting educational institutions in the communities where its founders, Edwin and Marion Link lived. Since its inception, the Link Foundation has provided more than $11 Million in grants to support worthy programs consistent with its mission. With your support the Link Foundation will expand its grants program to advance knowledge in these important fields for the betterment of humankind.

The Link Foundation supports programs to foster the theoretical basis, practical knowledge, and application of energy, simulation, and ocean engineering and instrumentation research, and to disseminate the results of that research through lectures, seminars and publications.

Doctoral Fellowship Programs
The doctoral student fellowships are awarded by a national competition in the following programs:
- administered by the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College
- administered by the University of Central Florida
- administered by the Florida Institute of Technology (Florida Tech)

Other Major Programs

The Link Foundation Distinguished Scholar Awards are offered to Indian River State College (IRSC) graduates transferring to four-year colleges or universities. Eligibility Criteria: IRSC graduates with a 3.5 or higher GPA majoring in marine science, engineering, oceanography, physics, mathematics, energy research, or simulation (aircraft or automobile) training; must continue their education as a full-time (12 or more credit hours per semester) at any accredited college or university. 3.0 or higher GPA must be maintained. Interested students should apply online at .
- Oceanographic Research Projects. Supervised by these include high school student awards and college-level in ocean engineering and marine science.
- . Co-sponsored by the Evans Library of the Florida Institute of Technology, this program awards stipends to technically gifted Florida Tech students to evaluate, select, describe, categorize, and make accessible through the (the LINK), scholarly information resources germane to the mission of the Link Foundation: energy, simulation, ocean engineering, and instrumentation research.
